Optics Engineer

Aalyria Technologies, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Optics Engineer to join our innovative team in our Aalyria Space business unit.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing cutting-edge optical sensing and imaging systems that operate in highly variable environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-performance refractive and reflective optical sensing and imaging systems.
- Expertise in stray light analysis, mitigation, and characterization in manufactured systems.
- Experience with adaptive optics components and optical systems employing adaptive optics technology.
- Design for manufacturability, cost, and prototype transitions to manufacturing.
- Execute across all project stages, from design conception to manufacturing, validation, and product release.
Qualifications:
- Degree in relevant engineering discipline with 5+ years of industry experience.
- Expert proficiency with optical design tools such as Zemax and Code V.
- Experience with designing for stray light analysis, mitigation, and characterization in manufactured systems.
- Experience with adaptive optics components and optical systems that use adaptive optics.
- Experience with design for manufacturability, and cost. Experience with prototype transitions to manufacturing.
