Position Overview

Join our dedicated team at UnityPoint Health as a Medical Imaging Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in patient care.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:15 AM - 5:15 PM

Incentive: $5,000 Sign-on Bonus for external candidates.

Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
  • Supporting physicians and healthcare professionals during imaging procedures.
  • Operating and maintaining radiographic equipment, ensuring precision and adherence to quality control standards.
  • Managing CLIA-waived laboratory tests, including urinalysis, rapid strep tests, and glucose monitoring.
  • Overseeing laboratory supplies, performing quality control checks, and ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations.
  • Accurately documenting patient information, test results, and procedures in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • ARRT certification and state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
