About the Role

At Southern States, LLC, we are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join our team. This is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary of $65,000 - $85,000.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and preparing detailed drawings and bills of material related to high voltage switch products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating precision drawings and layouts for engineering and fabrication purposes
  • Preparing Bills of Material for assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Reviewing and processing production orders
  • Making electrical, mechanical, and structural calculations associated with drawing preparation
  • Initiating changes to existing drawings as assigned by senior designers or application engineers

Minimum qualifications for this role include an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, at least one year of design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, and good mechanical skills. Preferred qualifications include two years of experience designing operating mechanisms.
