Maintenance Technician

Hunt Forest Products is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including installation, rebuilding, and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and repair.
• Inspect and examine equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
• Participate in shop clean-up duties and assist mechanics and electricians as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent minimum; higher education and/or certifications preferred.
• Previous experience with equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment (5+ years).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a commitment to working safely.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Must be familiar with lockout procedures of machinery and have a strong understanding of production flow and product quality.

The physical demands of this position include:

• Frequent lifting of 10-50 pounds, and occasional lifting of over 50 pounds.
• Continuous walking, twisting, bending, stooping, and lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Working in an environment that is dusty, dirty, oily, noisy, hot, and humid.
