Key Responsibilities:
- Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
- Rooms patients, utilizing rooming standards and setting up exam rooms to optimize efficiency.
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Instructs patients on preparation for tests and procedures, providing clear and concise instructions.
- Records laboratory, x-ray, and ECG results, as well as other pertinent medical data, in patients' charts.
- Handles incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring the physician receives all necessary information.
- Cleans and stocks exam rooms, including monthly instrument cleaning and sterilization, and refills supplies as needed.
- Handles patient telephone calls, screening and directing calls to the physician as necessary.
- Communicates with callers, patients, physicians, and other staff in a polite, courteous, and understandable manner, projecting a commitment to high-quality customer service.
Requirements:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) certification
- 1 year of clinical experience
- EPIC experience
Work Environment:
This is a fully on-site position in Appleton, Wisconsin. The work schedule varies depending on the doctor and/or if they are in a float position, with hours between 8am and 5pm totaling 36-40 hours per week.
