Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH). As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to acquire high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Perform venipuncture and administer IV contrast agents as needed
  • Maintain ACLS certification and adhere to safety standards
  • Participate in educational programs and continuing education credits to stay up-to-date on developments in MR imaging techniques
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of Medical Imaging
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent
  • 2-3 years' experience as a Radiologic technologist, preferably in a specialty such as CT scan or angiography
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients under physical and emotional stress
  • Strong analytical abilities to acquire and utilize knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging techniques
  • Proficiency with Radiology and Hospital Information Systems (Percipio, IDXrad, LMR, BICS, PACS/Centricity, Safety Reporting, RMS Scanning, etc.)
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to magnetic fields and radio frequencies
  • Exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements
  • Periodic exposure to noise and cold equipment
