Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting, and ambulating patients under RN supervision.
- Environmental Maintenance: Ensure a safe and clean environment by performing safety checks, organizing patient rooms, and managing equipment.
- Supplies & Equipment Management: Acquire, distribute, and manage supplies and equipment.
- Communication & Collaboration: Provide feedback to RN, communicate effectively with healthcare team members, and maintain professional relationships.
- Documentation & Compliance: Document patient information accurately and complete clerical tasks.
- Continuous Improvement: Receive and act on feedback, identify learning needs, and participate in self-review.
- Emergency Response & Companionship: Respond to emergent situations as needed and provide one-on-one supervision and companionship to patients.
- Educational/Knowledge Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience, enrollment in PT/OT/PA program or related healthcare training program with completion of at least one clinical rotation, completion of a bachelor's degree in a health sciences field.
- Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire, Act 34.
