About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team at 24 Hour Fitness. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clubs, providing an exceptional experience for our members, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of the facility to identify repair and maintenance needs, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Partner with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to discuss club maintenance needs and develop plans to address them.
  • Maintain and oversee the maintenance of pool, spa, steam, and sauna facilities to ensure proper chemical balances, draining, and general servicing.
  • Procure repair parts, materials, tools, and equipment as needed to maintain the facility.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including upkeep of associated logs and history files.
  • Perform monthly OSHA safety checks and model all OSHA, company, and facilities department safety guidelines on a daily basis.
  • Engage with members on the floor to provide exceptional customer service and help maximize their club experience.
Requirements
  • General experience in repair and maintenance of equipment and physical buildings.
  • General knowledge of HVAC and/or electrical equipment.
  • 2 years' experience in operations and maintenance preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in priority management and agility in responding to shifting priorities.
  • General understanding of computer skills, including email.
  • Previous experience in health club maintenance strongly preferred.
  • Availability for overtime work.
  • Reliable transportation.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in an environment with occasionally high noise levels, regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and daily duties that include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, and remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.

Travel and Availability

Travel between clubs to service multiple facilities may be required, and full-time, flexible availability across weekdays, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
