Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments for students from Pre-K through 8th grade to identify their strengths and areas of need.
- Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Create and implement tailored treatment plans to address the unique needs of each student.
- Provide Direct Therapy Services: Deliver occupational therapy services across multiple schools, traveling between sites as required.
- Collaborate with School Staff: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' educational and developmental goals.
- Monitor Progress and Adjust Plans: Regularly monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in IEP Meetings: Contribute expertise on occupational therapy needs and interventions during Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
- Educate and Train School Staff: Provide training and education to school staff on strategies to support students' motor and sensory needs in the classroom.
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy: Possess a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Texas Occupational Therapist License: Hold a valid Texas Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience in School Settings: Have experience working with students in Pre-K through 8th grade, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong Assessment and Treatment Planning Skills: Demonstrate strong assessment, treatment planning, and therapy delivery skills.
- Ability to Manage an Itinerant Schedule: Be able to manage an itinerant schedule and work effectively across multiple sites.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
