Physician Assistant

Valor Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional medical care to our nation's veterans. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of a physician, utilizing your expertise and clinical judgment to provide exceptional care.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing, to inform treatment plans.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, working closely with our team to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, and interpret results to inform treatment decisions.
- Counsel patients on medication use, educate them on healthy lifestyle choices, and assess mental health needs to provide comprehensive care.
- Evaluate patient records from outside medical providers, working with patients to ensure continuity of care and adherence to VA guidelines.
- Complete clinical reminders and documentation within 24 hours of patient encounters, ensuring accurate and timely records.
- Comply with VA guidelines for clinical documentation, consult protocols, and formulary processes to ensure high-quality care.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, colleagues, and clinic visitors, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and respect.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from an accredited program, including a preceptorship.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in an outpatient setting, with specific requirements varying based on individual VA contracts.
- Valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), as specified by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- U.S. citizenship.
