Position Summary

The Culinary Preparation Specialist will be responsible for preparing food items for various dining services, including restaurant operations and catering events. This position involves a range of tasks aimed at maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute opening and closing procedures as outlined in checklists.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and handling protocols, including monitoring use-by dates and appliance temperatures.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and chopping as necessary.
  • Cook and present food according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Arrange food on serving dishes in an appealing manner.
  • Contribute to the development of daily feature offerings.
  • Monitor food inventory to minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist staff and guests.
  • Support various kitchen stations with same-day or advance preparation as needed.
  • Inspect kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.
