About the Role

Belles Beach House, a vibrant and locally-owned restaurant in Venice, California, is seeking an experienced Sushi Cook to join our kitchen team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sushi preparation, a passion for Hawaiian flavors, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble high-quality sushi and sashimi dishes using fresh, local ingredients
  • Create innovative sushi dishes that reflect Hawaiian flavors and culinary techniques
  • Maintain consistent presentation and quality standards
  • Assist with inventory management and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and train junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sushi Cook or similar culinary role
  • Strong knowledge of traditional sushi preparation and ingredients
  • Familiarity with Hawaiian and Japanese flavors
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong knife skills and presentation abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
