Job Summary:

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist II to provide clinical pharmacy services for patients on Zayed 12, including the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Brain Rescue Unit, and Neuro IMC beds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacotherapy and be able to manage complex medication regimens.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medication management and adjust medication therapies via drug therapy management agreements with prescribers.
  • Help manage drug costs by ensuring formulary and stewardship guidelines are followed.
  • Provide drug information and education to patients, students, residents, pharmacists, and other healthcare practitioners.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary decision making and emergency code response.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to pharmacy practice.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm D. or BS degree.
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience.
  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland.
  • Board Certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties or a certification deemed appropriate for the practitioner's practice setting by Division Director within 2 years of start date.
