Job Title:

Speech and Language Pathologist - Bilingual (Spanish) - Per Diem

Job Summary:

The Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) Resource Group is seeking a part-time Bilingual (Spanish) Speech and Language Pathologist to provide services to students statewide. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong collaboration skills, and experience in administering diagnostic assessments, writing reports, and presenting at meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide communication therapy and consultation to students
  • Evaluate and assess students with speech/language needs
  • Develop and implement comprehensive service plans
  • Create student goals and objectives for IEPs based on the general education curriculum
  • Participate in early intervention and data teams
  • Attend PPT and 504 meetings as necessary
  • Complete all required reports
  • Provide consultation services to teachers to assist in meeting needs of specific students
  • Attend student and team meetings as required
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Valid Connecticut State Department of Education Certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
Work Environment:

The Speech and Language Pathologist will work with school districts statewide, providing services in various settings. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Physical and Mental Demands:

The position may require physical demands such as moving therapy equipment and helping lift or move students on and off equipment. Travel may be required to and between assigned sites.
