Job Title: Utility Dishwasher

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Utility Dishwasher to join our team at New Pioneer Food Co-op. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular dishwashing shifts, ensuring all equipment and utensils are sanitized and stored properly.
  • Organize and maintain kitchen and bakery dish areas, walk-ins, and storage spaces to meet Co-op and health department standards.
  • Remove trash and recyclable items to designated areas.
  • Assist prepared foods team members as assigned.
  • Attend designated food service, store, and staff meetings.
  • Start each shift at your workstation, dressed appropriately and ready to begin.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the lead or supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Kitchen or food preparation experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and bakery environment.
  • Manual dexterity with hazardous equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. throughout shift, stand for long periods, and reach, pull, push, turn, stoop, and bend frequently during shift.
