Job Summary

We are seeking a Food Preparation Specialist to join our team. As a Food Preparation Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing fresh food items daily for our members. This includes following recipes, preparing our always warm and ready rotisserie chicken, and properly wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross-functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with the team; and be flexible to meet business needs.
  • Be an Expert: Prepare food according to item specifications; understand and plan future productions and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Drive area performance using digital tools; manage high exposure and expectations; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and provide attention to customer needs; assist customers according to company policies and procedures.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products; execute basics at the highest possible level of quality; and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.

What You'll Do...

  • Ensure high-quality products are available in the prepared foods area.
  • Ensure shelves are clean, maintain temperature control, verify expiration dates, and dispose of lesser-quality food products.
  • Prepare and serve ready-to-eat food.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area.

Salary

The estimated hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. Additional compensation may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

  • Preferred qualifications: Food Service, Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
