Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant/LPN to join our team at Hancock Regional Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing basic lab tests.
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Operate office equipment, including phones, fax machines, and computers, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant or LPN.
  • Three to five years of recent experience working in a medical practice as a certified medical assistant or LPN.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel), and self-disciplined, energetic, and passionate.
