Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Specimen Collector to join our team at LabCorp. As a Medical Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients for laboratory testing. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect blood and other specimens from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques

Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

Process billing information and collect payments when required

Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

Maintain patient and specimen information logs

Provide superior customer service to all patients

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred

Previous experience as a phlebotomist (preferred)

Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Ability to work independently or in a team environment
