The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional patient experiences by collecting blood samples and performing other clinical support services. You'll work closely with our diverse team of providers and administrative assistants to ensure seamless care delivery and exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Provide exceptional patient care beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
  • Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
  • Phlebotomy experience and/or certification preferred
  • Experience with extended scope care, including non-blood specimen collection and processing, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs preferred

One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The base hourly range for this role is $21.50 to $26.50 based on a standard full-time schedule. Total compensation packages may be based on factors unique to particular candidates, such as skill sets, depth of experience, and work location. This is a full-time role (40 hrs/week) with 8-hour shifts generally taking place between 8am-5pm based in Aurora, CO at one of our offices.
