Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with business SMEs, functional consultants, and developers to understand requirements and plan test strategies.
- Design, develop, and deliver test scenarios, including system integration, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Manage and maintain end-to-end test scenarios and test cases to minimize solution defects in production.
- Develop and maintain test plans based on defined test strategies.
- Review and validate functional specifications to identify testing scope across multiple testing levels.
- Prepare and manage test data requirements for various testing activities.
- Support test team members, including work assignments and progress reporting.
- Perform smoke testing in various environments to avoid hiccups during regression/SIT.
- Execute integration, regression, and performance testing, and document results to ensure proper operation and solution with minimum defects.
- Learn and develop automation-related skills to reduce manual workload, if required.
- Execute automated and/or manual test cases and report on results to take signoff on testing completion.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related work experience.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SAP test role in a large enterprise environment.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and overall system design to drive test strategies.
- Testing experience in one or more of the following business process areas: R2R, P2P, S2D, F2P, O2C.
- Experience with using test management tools such as HP ALM and some understanding of the testing automation toolset.
- Broad knowledge of the software testing process.
- Experience with test management and defect management tool usage and configuration.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to identify, develop, and use metrics for decision support.
- Exposure to SAP testing practices and various approaches.
- Ability and willingness to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
