Job Summary:

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in the Radiology/MRI department. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations and providing patient care to all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
  • Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements for magnetic safety.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform advanced MR imaging procedures and be competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
  • Provide more complex technical care necessary to meet identified patient needs.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Radiology Technologist and 2-3 years experience as an MRI Technologist required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) (MR).
  • Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR).
  • BLS certified.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced hospital environment with frequent exposure to magnetic fields and other medical equipment.
