MRI Technologist Job Summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations under the guidance of a supervising Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body.
  • Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements for magnetic safety.
  • Perform advanced MR imaging procedures and demonstrate competence with cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • One year of experience as a Radiology Technologist and six months experience as an MRI Technologist preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).
  • BLS certified.
  • Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR) is preferred.
