Responsibilities

As a Technology Intern at Blackhawk Network, you will work with our software developers and architects to build large-scale big data processing systems that process multi-billion-dollar financial transactions with penny-level precision. You will have the opportunity to work on the following at scale:

  • Building stream-processing systems using solutions such as Spark-Streaming.
  • Building DevOps pipelines and CI/CD systems for the agile enterprise.
  • Building large-scale transaction processing systems with technologies such as REST, micro-services, Spark, Lambda processing, Kinesis, Elastic, AWS, and more.
  • Data and Analytics platforms that apply ML/AI and Big Data techniques.
  • Real-time risk/Fraud systems that detect and prevent financial fraud.
  • Building secure and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with solid engineering fundamentals, strong algorithms, data structures, and coding background. Ideal candidates should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's degree program in STEM majors and have a willingness to learn, be inquisitive, and passionate. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are also essential.

Benefits

Blackhawk Network offers a competitive salary range of $25.00/hr to $30.00/hr, based on education, work experience, certifications, and other factors. In addition to salary, we offer benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays, 1 hour of sick pay accrual for every 30 hours worked, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
