Job Summary

Advanced Technology Services is seeking a skilled Test Technician to join our team. As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for installing and testing equipment, collecting data, and collaborating with engineers to ensure quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and test equipment, including connecting valves, pumps, and controls
  • Participate in installations and hardware changes, ensuring seamless transitions
  • Set up test equipment, collect data, and tear down equipment, following established procedures
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve fabrication problems and review test plans
  • Examine parts for conformance, using precision measuring instruments, and recommend replacement of defective parts
  • Activate controls to apply power and subject test items to successive steps in the test cycle
  • Monitor controls and instruments, recording test data for engineers
  • Provide basic data analysis to ensure quality and uncover trends, under general supervision
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, processes, results, and cost savings
Requirements
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and/or basic knowledge of internal combustion engines, test cell operations, or data collection systems
  • Ability to operate PC or PDP11 controlled equipment
  • Proven ability to work successfully with computers, including Microsoft Suite experience
  • Ability to successfully communicate and interact with other team members, customers, and management
  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Associates degree with a Technical focus or 18 months of related experience in general industry
Working Conditions

The Test Technician will work in a factory environment, which may be loud and require standing, walking, and climbing. The employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
