About the Role

As a Medical Device Specialist at HCA HealthOne System Support, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient care by interrogating, interpreting, and re-programming cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting critical device issues and collaborating with physicians to resolve these problems.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is between $80,000 and $110,000, based on industry standards and location.

Responsibilities

  • Interrogate, interpret, and re-program cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision
  • Troubleshoot critical device issues and take immediate steps toward resolution
  • Collaborate with physicians regarding device status and accurately document device analysis in EMR for review
  • Ensure charges are accurately captured for device interrogation
  • Schedule patients for device appointment follow up in EMR and remote website, including immediate/urgent contact with "no show" patients to ensure they are rescheduled

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relatable science program is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemaker and AICD's OR a current and unrevoked Cardiac Device Technology Certification from a recognized device training school
  • Experience reviewing and managing remote device transmissions is required
