We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive timely and efficient care.
Key Responsibilities- Greets patients and families, verifies patient information, and ensures accurate registration and scheduling of appointments.
- Obtains and verifies patient demographic and insurance information, and ensures accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Recognizes and maintains confidentiality of patient information, and adheres to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assists with pre-registration and verification of patient information, and ensures accurate and timely completion of patient records.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of related experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical office setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows-style applications and keyboard skills.
