The Mission Preparatory School, a TK-8, college-preparatory, tuition-free, public charter institution, is currently seeking applications for the position of Primary Education Instructor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Embrace and embody the mission and vision of Mission Prep by developing and executing rigorous, standards-aligned instructional plans and assessments as outlined by the school’s approved curriculum.
- Regularly update student performance metrics in the school’s tracking systems.
- Analyze student data to inform and refine instructional strategies.
- Provide tailored, differentiated support to ensure all students achieve mastery.
- Teach, model, and promote schoolwide systems, routines, and expectations.
- Implement effective communication systems with families regarding classroom and schoolwide activities.
- Actively engage in professional development and collaborative learning communities.
- Reflect on feedback and observations to enhance professional performance.
- Coordinate and participate in schoolwide events, including community gatherings, field trips, and other activities as directed by leadership.
- Complete administrative and operational tasks in alignment with school requirements and timelines.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid California teaching credential or verified enrollment in a teacher credentialing program.
- CLAD/BCLAD certification.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Experience in analyzing and utilizing data to inform educational practices.
- Willingness to accept feedback and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- Responsibility for student achievement outcomes.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Experience teaching in urban settings.
Commitment:
This role is a full-time exempt position and adheres to an 11-month work calendar.
