We are currently in search of a skilled professional for the Fleet Mechanic role, based in our operations.

  • COMPENSATION: Starting salary between $23-$25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
  • WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours weekly.
  • WORKING HOURS: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Position Summary:
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel and gasoline commercial vehicles, performing various tasks as needed. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within a reasonable distance from the branch.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical institution; or a minimum of five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience. Additional experience is advantageous.
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data accurately.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
  • Working knowledge of engine repair, suspension systems, electrical systems, and welding related to company vehicles.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Stable work history with positive references is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain and repair a fleet of light-duty delivery vehicles.
  • Diagnose issues by reading job orders and observing vehicle operations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Implement a Preventive Maintenance Program for all company vehicles.
  • Install new systems, align wheels, and replace various components as necessary.
  • Inspect safety devices and make necessary adjustments.
  • Lubricate moving parts and test vehicles for compliance with specifications.
  • Manage parts inventory effectively.
  • Ensure completion and documentation of all work orders.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Manager on vehicle-related issues.
  • Review and manage budgets for all branch vehicles.
  • Coordinate with Route Sales personnel regarding repairs and deficiencies.
  • Oversee external work performed by subcontractors.
