We are currently in search of a skilled professional for the Fleet Mechanic role, based in our operations.
- COMPENSATION: Starting salary between $23-$25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours weekly.
- WORKING HOURS: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of diesel and gasoline commercial vehicles, performing various tasks as needed. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate within a reasonable distance from the branch.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical institution; or a minimum of five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience. Additional experience is advantageous.
- Mathematical Proficiency: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data accurately.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
- Working knowledge of engine repair, suspension systems, electrical systems, and welding related to company vehicles.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Stable work history with positive references is essential.

- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for various tasks.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds.
- Vision must be corrected to 20/30 or better.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and repair a fleet of light-duty delivery vehicles.
- Diagnose issues by reading job orders and observing vehicle operations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
- Implement a Preventive Maintenance Program for all company vehicles.
- Install new systems, align wheels, and replace various components as necessary.
- Inspect safety devices and make necessary adjustments.
- Lubricate moving parts and test vehicles for compliance with specifications.
- Manage parts inventory effectively.
- Ensure completion and documentation of all work orders.
- Collaborate with the Fleet Manager on vehicle-related issues.
- Review and manage budgets for all branch vehicles.
- Coordinate with Route Sales personnel regarding repairs and deficiencies.
- Oversee external work performed by subcontractors.
