About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading our veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise the work of veterinary technicians in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Assist in the educational development of technicians and their skills, ensuring they are equipped to provide top-notch patient care
  • Participate in the interview process for potential new hires, helping to identify top talent for our team
  • Manage technician scheduling and staffing, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient workflow
  • Collaborate with department doctors to develop protocols and improve service delivery
  • Mentor technicians within the department, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
  • Proven experience in a veterinary hospital setting, with a strong background in supervisory roles
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care
