Heart of Texas Veterinary ER & Specialty Center is seeking a part-time Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced emergency and specialty referral hospital, providing compassionate and quality care to pets and their families.

We pride ourselves on providing the Round Rock area with exceptional emergency and specialty care, including surgery, internal medicine, and oncology.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of animal-health duties, ensuring quality pet and client care. This includes triage, patient monitoring, venipuncture, patient recovery, and medical math.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of emergency, critical care, surgical, and laboratory techniques, and remain calm during stressful situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inpatient duties, including triage, patient monitoring, and venipuncture
  • Assist in veterinary medical procedures
  • Provide quality pet and client care
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced emergency and specialty referral hospital
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years recent experience in veterinary practice
  • Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures
  • Patient care experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Veterinary Technician license is preferred
