Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team at Summit County.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls, utilizing strong communication skills to assess situations and dispatch personnel and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, including status histories and response details.
  • Operate computer-aided dispatch systems, requesting and sharing critical information with public safety agencies.
  • Ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures, demonstrating proficiency in equipment operation and troubleshooting.
  • Provide Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) functions, guiding callers through immediate medical assistance.
Requirements
  • Typing speed of 30 words per minute.
  • Ability to pass dispatch multi-tasking and critical skills tests.
  • Clear background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
