Coral Rehabilitation and Nursing of Arlington
Qualifications:
- Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution or completion of an approved LPN/LVN program.
- Experience in long-term care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice.
- Current certification in CPR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of nursing aides in alignment with regulations and facility guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures by nursing staff.
- Engage in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Monitor changes in residents' conditions, notify physicians, and document appropriately.
- Administer medications and conduct wound care as directed by physicians.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and provide nursing leadership.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver end-of-life care.
- Maintain adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Treat all residents with dignity and respect.
- Foster a culture of compliance with facility policies.
- Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of health information and report any noncompliance.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and follow infection control measures.
Skills and Physical Requirements:
- Effective communication skills and ability to make independent decisions.
- Patience and capability to handle challenging situations.
- Must not pose a risk to the health and safety of others.
- Ability to assist in resident evacuation during emergencies.
- Physical capability to perform necessary movements for the role.
- Exposure to infectious diseases and challenging resident behaviors may occur.

Adherence to facility standards, policies, and procedures is a condition of employment. Noncompliance may lead to disciplinary measures.
