Internship Details

NBC & Telemundo Connecticut internships provide invaluable real-world experience in the television news sector. These positions are compensated and do not necessitate academic credit.


Compensation: Minimum wage.


Role Responsibilities

NBC Connecticut seeks a collaborative individual to assist our Producers. As a Producer intern, you will:

  1. Engage in daily strategy meetings and contribute innovative ideas for news programming aligned with NBC Connecticut's objectives.
  2. Observe communication dynamics in the control room during live broadcasts, gaining insights into the roles of producers, directors, and production staff.
  3. Utilize online platforms and social media to track and report news, identify sources, and generate story leads. Stay informed on mainstream and social media for potential story ideas and competitive insights.
  4. Draft assigned segments, which may encompass digital newscasts.
  5. Assist our specialized team in researching legislative matters.
  6. Contribute to our weekly political program, "Face the Facts."
