Neuro Trauma Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg RN with a specialization in Neuro Trauma to join our healthcare team at The George Washington University Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care to critically ill and injured patients with neurologic injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and spinal cord injuries.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient conditions, including vital signs, medication administration, and lab results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Current RN License in good standing with state licensing board.
- BSN required OR enrollment and completion of BSN within 5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS certification (ACLS within 3 months of hire).
