Job Title: Part-Time Behavior Technician

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Behavior Technician at Akoya Behavioral Health. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing 1:1 care to children with autism using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Your primary responsibility will be to implement individualized treatment plans, collect data, and monitor progress in areas such as communication, leisure and independent play, social skills, and daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 care to children with autism in their homes, using ABA principles to promote skill development and reduce problematic behaviors.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans, tailored to each child's unique needs and goals.
  • Collect data and monitor progress, using this information to inform treatment decisions and adjust plans as needed.
  • Manage challenging behaviors through effective intervention strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, fostering collaborative relationships and ensuring seamless transitions between home and therapy settings.
  • Remain open to learning new skills and methodologies, embracing a growth mindset and a commitment to excellence.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • High school degree or higher.
  • Preferably a portion of or complete bachelor's degree in child development, psychology, or early education.
  • RBT certification in good standing preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check.
