Hotel Night Auditor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team at Maya Hotels. As a Night Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all front desk and accounting functions during the overnight shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Front Desk Operations: Conduct the check-in and check-out processes for guests arriving and departing during the night shift, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries, requests, or concerns they may have.
  • Night Audit Functions: Perform accurate and thorough auditing of all financial transactions, including guest folios, cash handling, and credit card transactions, and reconcile daily revenue and charges to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Accounting and Financial Controls: Maintain and update financial records, process and review invoices, and assist with the preparation of month-end financial reports and statements.
  • Night Security and Safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees during the night shift, monitoring and controlling access to the hotel and responding to emergencies as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or hospitality is preferred.
  • Previous experience in front office operations or night audit roles is desirable.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of hotel property management systems and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:

The Hotel Night Auditor typically works during the overnight shift, which may include weekends and holidays. This position requires the ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and to lift and carry moderate weights.
