Position Overview:
Deliver comprehensive security services to safeguard employees, visitors, patients, and facilities at various Carle outpatient locations. Ensure a secure environment and uphold building access control protocols. The officer may also be called upon to support security operations at additional sites.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
No formal education required.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Valid Driver's License upon hire and Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card within six months.
EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES
Prior security experience is advantageous.
ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
Taser Certification, OC Pepper Foam Certification, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification are required.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients. Proficient writing skills for completing security incident reports.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the perimeter and interior access points, identifying unauthorized entry.
2. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify safety and security concerns.
3. Oversee surveillance camera feeds.
4. Assist personnel with potential security challenges and take appropriate action when necessary.
5. Educate employees on security awareness.
6. Provide customer service support to patients, visitors, and staff.
7. Aid staff and visitors during Emergency Management situations.
