The Director of Nursing Workforce Planning and Management is a key leadership position responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive workforce strategy that aligns with the goals of Aspirus Health. This role requires a strong understanding of workforce planning, analytics, and talent development to optimize nursing resources and achieve successful fiscal, staffing, and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a workforce strategy that aligns with Aspirus Health's goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction for workforce planning and management, including optimizing workforce resources, achieving successful fiscal, staffing, and patient outcomes.
- Develop predictive modeling tools for staffing to best align resources.
- Assist in the development and education on productivity benchmarking, staffing budgets, and schedule development.
- Serve as subject matter expert and coach on staffing effectiveness and schedule integrity for leaders.
- Lead standardization and/or unification work related to staffing and scheduling.
- Partner with OL&D to serve as liaison to nurse leaders to help remove operational barriers to implementation of successful pipeline strategy, transition programs, clinical/student partnerships.
- Facilitate external relationships with schools and others to feed pipeline for nurses and other clinical roles.
- Promote nursing employment opportunities at Aspirus Health.
- Assist in preparation of service delivery contracts and training agreements.
- Assist with marketing efforts and plans for targeted recruitment (Local, State, Nationally).
- Facilitate growth in your own programs and assure success as a liaison between OL&D and nurse leaders.
- Assist in developing career pathways for nurses and other clinical and support staff (CNA & CMA).
- Assist with developing and coordinating nurse and other clinical recognition opportunities.
- Assist with building a formal position control for nursing.
- Works collaboratively with other clinical leaders across the continuum to deploy and adopt best practices related to workforce management.
- Stays current with trends and issues related to the workforce and shares innovative solutions.
- Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration and/or business required.
- Minimum of 5 years working within a multisystem healthcare environment in workforce/staffing leadership position.
- Experience working with databases is desired.
