Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve well-balanced, visually appealing meals and snacks tailored to the unique preferences and dietary needs of our service users, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
  2. Maintain efficiency, cleanliness, and safety in the culinary environment.
  3. Adhere to and promote the objectives, policies, and procedures of CrossReach.
  4. Manage inventory records, place orders, and oversee budgeting for kitchen supplies.
  5. Present meals to the highest standard possible.
  6. Address all health and hygiene matters related to the kitchen, equipment, and materials, promptly reporting any concerns to the Hospitality Manager and Unit Manager.
  7. Take on additional duties or responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

Desirable: City and Guilds or equivalent qualifications, with a willingness to pursue further training.

Personal Attributes:

Respect for all aspects of Christian worship is essential. This position requires membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and completion of necessary vetting checks.

Skills and Competencies:

Previous experience in catering is preferred. Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet usage, is required.
