The Assistant Store Leader collaborates with store management to execute essential functions including customer engagement, product presentation, operational activities, and inventory management to enhance sales performance. The Assistant Store Leader works closely with the management team to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly store objectives. Responsibilities include supporting merchandise organization, fulfillment, and store upkeep.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Store Manager and/or Co-Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Enhance In-Store Experience by exemplifying customer engagement behaviors, coaching team members to meet store objectives, and addressing customer inquiries with urgency.
  2. Guarantee a positive shopping environment by upholding store standards, ensuring all daily opening and closing tasks are completed, including cleanliness and maintenance.
  3. Meet and surpass performance goals by analyzing, understanding, and effectively communicating daily, weekly, and monthly objectives. Clearly convey business trends to management.
  4. Review daily communications; organize and delegate tasks throughout the day/week/month while ensuring follow-through on required actions.
  5. Execute additional responsibilities as directed by the Store Manager or other leadership.
  6. Boost sales and operational success by maintaining the sales floor and stockroom, facilitating merchandise flow to create an inviting atmosphere for customers.
  7. Oversee inventory management activities, including freight receipt, product placement, markdowns, and other related tasks.
  8. Manage all operational activities in-store, including Charge/Send, BOPIS/BOSTS, and Delivery services.
  9. Utilize inventory reports to optimize productivity and merchandise display on the sales floor.
  10. Ensure a safe environment for customers and team members by regularly checking equipment and maintaining operational standards.
  11. Manage supply inventory to support effective floor moves, markdowns, and fulfillment in stockroom and non-sales areas.
  12. Conduct and complete all necessary documentation related to audits, donations, transfers, and damages.
  13. Assist the Store Manager in implementing the company's Mission, Vision, and Strategy within the store.
  14. Collaborate with the Store Manager to adhere to company policies and procedures.
  15. Support the Store Manager and leadership in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
  16. Contribute to team development by training, coaching, and providing constructive feedback to associates.
  17. Assist in resolving team member relations issues alongside the Store Manager.
  18. Participate in the performance evaluation process by preparing and conducting reviews for associates and leads.
  19. Support the team in managing payroll and timekeeping responsibilities.
  20. Recognize team members through company recognition programs.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years in a retail environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Some college education is preferred.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

The estimated pay range for this position is $22.10 to $27.60. The actual pay rate offered will consider various job-related factors, including skills, years of relevant experience, and other organizational needs. This range has been adjusted for geographic differentials and does not include benefits such as health insurance or retirement benefits unless mandated by law. Benefits eligibility may vary based on position.
