About the Role:

As a Dentist at SCI Smithfield, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our inmate population. You will supervise the daily work of the institution's dental staff and be responsible for all aspects of the clinical dental services provided, including periodic examinations, diagnosing oral diseases, and treating injuries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the daily work of the institution's dental staff
  • Provide high-quality dental care to the inmate population
  • Diagnose and treat oral diseases and injuries
  • Consult with and refer inmate patients to physicians, oral surgeons, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved school of dentistry
  • License to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
  • Ability to perform essential job functions
