We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dentist to join our team at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) in Smithfield, Pennsylvania. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our inmate population, working collaboratively with our experienced auxiliary staff and receiving exceptional managerial support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic dental care to inmates, including periodic examinations, diagnosing oral diseases, and treating injuries.
  • Supervise the daily work of the institution's dental staff and be responsible for all aspects of the clinical dental services provided.
  • Collaborate with experienced auxiliary staff and receive exceptional managerial support.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest dental techniques and technologies, attending training and professional development opportunities as needed.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
  • Current license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Dentistry Board.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and inmates.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
