We're looking for a skilled and compassionate veterinarian to join our team at Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare. As an in-home veterinarian, you'll have the opportunity to provide end-of-life care and support to pet families in the comfort of their own homes.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000 - $190,000 per year, based on experience. Our benefits package includes a range of health insurance plans, mileage reimbursement, quarterly productivity bonuses, retirement plan, life insurance, paid time off, and professional training and development opportunities.

About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to reconnect with pet families and provide compassionate care in a mobile setting. As an in-home veterinarian, you'll have the flexibility to create your own schedule and achieve an actual work-life balance. You'll also have the chance to build strong relationships with local veterinary clinics and pet families, providing exceptional care and support throughout the end-of-life process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver in-home euthanasia and hospice care services to geriatric and terminally ill pets.
  • Support pet families in making informed decisions about their pet's care.
  • Foster strong relationships with local veterinary clinics and pet families.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted.
  • Capable of walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, stooping, standing, and reaching consistently during the workday.
  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of driving.
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools.
