Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of machine shop equipment.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on plastic injection molds, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Utilize surface grinders, Bridgeport machines, and other equipment to perform tasks such as grinding, machining, and polishing.
  • Inspect and maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mechanical maintenance and repair.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance or repair role, with a focus on tool room maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of machine shop equipment and processes, including surface grinders and Bridgeport machines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
