Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Fusion Cell is seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining electrical, instrumentation, and distributive control equipment throughout the facility in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform electrical preventive, repair, and calibration maintenance procedures safely and professionally with minimal supervision.
  • Access and read available documentation, including PID's, loop sheets, and motor elementaries.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems using PLC/DCS program control logic.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of steam plant systems and subsystems related to power generation.
  • Initiate and complete work-orders and requisitions, documenting critical information.
  • Respond to emergency repairs and travel to other facilities as needed.
  • Take proactive measures to address improvement opportunities and assume increased responsibility when required.
  • Complete corporate and plant training programs within the prescribed timeframe.
  • Identify and use basic and precision measuring tools to calculate and determine lengths, surface areas, and volumes.
  • Follow standard safety procedures, correct safety and environmental hazards, and report them to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
  • Read, understand, and apply information such as lockout/tagout procedures, safety rules, job hazard analyses, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Work overtime, rotating shifts during outages, and communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot equipment, diagnose problems, and repair.
  • Operate other equipment, including industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and mobile equipment.
  • Assist Lead Technician/Maintenance Manager/Supervisor with training and development of 2nd/3rd Class E&I technicians.
  • Proficiently identify and safely use and maintain hand tools and portable power tools.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • Experience in the Industrial or Power Industry Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Field, or experience as an E&I Technician.
  • Licenses required as necessary to comply with State, Environmental, and/or Federal regulatory agencies or if Electrician, licensed as necessary by State, Environmental, and/or Federal regulatory agencies.
