OverviewPavilion 9 is a 30-bed cardiac medical/surgical and cardiac intermediate unit. Our team of skilled nurses provides specialized care for complex cardiac patients, including those undergoing cardiac surgery, structural heart procedures, cardiac catheterization, and heart failure treatment. Our nurses receive comprehensive training to care for our cardiac surgery populations.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse - Cardiac Unit is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The successful candidate will supervise and provide care to these patients utilizing the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.
Key Responsibilities- Follow established policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal customers and supervisors.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.
- Apply Cooper core values.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited School of Nursing.
- Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Certain specialties may require advanced certification (e.g., ACLS, NALS, PALS).
