Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Manager will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit, ensuring that our patients receive safe, high-quality care. This individual will be responsible for facilitating effective communication among team members, promoting a culture of safety, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain successful unit-based throughput efforts through the facilitation of timely bed assignments and balanced clinical workloads.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources, promoting a culture of fiscal responsibility and quality care.
  • Identify and implement evidence-based interventions to optimize patient outcomes and unit performance.
  • Support staff engagement by providing consistent, compassionate, and nurturing leadership.
  • Facilitate the allocation of clinical resources, demonstrating the ability to execute safe and clinically appropriate strategies to address urgent and emergent needs.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor, empowering clinical staff to identify innovative solutions to address patient needs.
  • Support the implementation of evidence-based practice changes, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the delivery of quality patient care through the coordination of organizational priorities, working closely with the Clinical Director.
  • Lead the collaboration of inter-professional care teams to achieve successful clinical outcomes.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's in Nursing required, Master's preferred or in progress within 6-12 months of hire.
  • NJ-RN: Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS & ACLS certification.
  • CNL or AACN Specialty certification preferred.
