Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at Alta Forest Products LLC. As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our sawmill equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and install electrical systems, including wiring and control equipment, to minimize waste and ensure compliance with local electrical codes.
  • Measure, cut, bend, and assemble electrical conduit, and pull wiring through conduit.
  • Splice wires, connect lighting fixtures and power equipment, and install control and distribution apparatus.
  • Test circuit continuity and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure the safety and efficiency of our equipment.
  • Repair faulty equipment and systems, and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent downtime.
Requirements
  • Modeling, implementing, and complying with all company safety rules and industry standards.
  • Utilizing troubleshooting skills to assist in designing and repairing electrical systems.
  • Understanding and working with three-phase systems, controls, transformers, and variable frequency drives.
  • Experience with hydraulics, welding, and pneumatics is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing and heavy lifting.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays, and be available for overtime as needed.
