Electrical Engineer Job Description

The Lockwood Group is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the Project Manager Network Modernization program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems and circuits to support advanced military networking technologies.
  • Create and evaluate technical specifications, schematics, and reports for electrical components.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with software and hardware components.
  • Ensure seamless operation and compatibility of electrical systems with existing military infrastructure.
  • Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure they meet required performance standards and specifications.
  • Analyze test data and troubleshoot issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Prepare detailed documentation for designs, test procedures, and validation reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all electrical engineering activities, changes, and improvements.
  • Ensure all designs and systems comply with military standards and regulations as well as safety protocols.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate cutting-edge solutions.
Requirements:
  • BS, min of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the Department of Defense contracting market of major weapon systems product development and acquisitions.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and modern networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with military standards and protocols related to networking and communication systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
