Mammography Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at Oswego Health. As a key member of our Medical Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and examine requisitions for radiographic procedures to ensure accurate and timely completion of exams.
- Position patients correctly and safely for imaging procedures, using immobilization devices as needed.
- Operate mammographic and radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to maintain the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Valid New York State license to practice Diagnostic Radiography.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in Diagnostic Radiography and Mammography.
- Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography or radiologic technology.
This is a full-time position working 80 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional high-pressure situations. The position requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or traversing, as well as possible exposure to bodily fluids, infectious specimens, and ionizing radiation.
